Boy & girl silhouettes

This large and classic pair (perhaps they were twins: boy (black) and girl (sepia)) of vintage silhouettes are perfect for a gallery wall or art collection. Cutting portraits, generally in profile, became popular in the mid-18th century, though the term silhouette was seldom used until the early decades of the 19th century, and the tradition has continued under this name to this day!
